4th of July

These are cards I created for the 4th of July.  I hope they give you some ideas.

This was an awesomely fun card.  I hunted down the polk-a-dot paper and found it at my local Michael's® store.  The "flowers" started out as white cardstock.  Each flower consisted of 5 pieces.  I used my copic's® markers (Prussian Blue and Lipstick Red) to color the various parts of the Silhouette® cut-outs.  The fence was a cut out, the "sun" was a punch and I created the grass using multi-bladed scissors I got from Oriental Trading®.  The sweet patriotic 3d butterfly was a gift from my beautiful daughter.  I plan to use the rest of them next year.

This sweet card has clouds and a 2 piece sun with a button center on foam adhesive to add depth.  The fence has a patriotic banner with pearl button centers and I added the white border with my favorite Uni Ball® white pen (I consider this the very best white pen).

This is my own creation of a "From our House" card.  Navy and white stripes give the illusion of house siding.  The red door has "raised panels" a copper colored handle back ground and a small red brad from Joann's® for the knob.  I used my silhouette to create a one sided 3d star.

I recently went back to aqua therapy after not taking it for 12 years.  (YES, I do hurt)  So while talking to my therapist it came out that I am a cardmaker.  She requested to "be put on my card list".  This card seemed appropriate.  I had the swimsuits ready and was trying to figure out what the heck I was going to add to tie it into my therapy.  I went to my favorite source...Silhouette®!  They had just added the wave and I knew what I was going to create.  I started with a lemon yellow card and sponged on desert sand© ink on the bottom (doesn't it look just like sand?) and marine blue© ink in the sky.  Both inks are Memento® products.  I added the navy blue picot ribbon on the side and as an after thought I made the little USA directional sign.  I love it and hope she and you do also.

This card wasn't sent out and will be put back for next year but I thought I'd add it here.  I used white cardstock for the card.  The background paper I purchased 14 years ago at a scrapbooking expo.  I punched the small red swirls and the corners of the background.  The rocket is a Silhouette® shape and I added red stickles to the rocket and swirls and blue stickles® to the rocket for bling.  I really like the way it turned out.

Those are my offerings for this year!
