A Dragon for Christmas

Scrappers Delights
offered a sweet Christmas dragon for their progressive challenge this month.
It was interesting to see everyone's idea of how he should be colored.
Having come down with pneumonia over the holidays it may not
be my best work but I fell in love with him and still enjoyed coloring him.

Here's my take on Draco:

I think this would make a good after Christmas card to
touch base with those not near but still close.

Thank you for sharing such a darling image.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
Challenge #77
Nov 22  –  DEC 5
I used Ike's Cornucopia image.

I decided there were to many colors used in this project so I haven't listed them.
This was so much fun to color.  Many of the items were shapes that you could choose what you wanted to make them.  Examples:  the "egg plant" could be that or a butternut squash.  The "nuts" could be loose grapes.  The shades on the autumnal leaves.  The background paper used on the "kraft" colored card is from an autumn set by Tim Holtz (I only use on special occasions).  The ribbon is from "The Paper Shelter". and the 3 gold rhinestones just finished off the card.  The wording is stamped with metallic gold ink.
I hope you like the way my project turned out.
Be sure to leave me some love and let me know you liked my project.

Military Rememberance

While it breaks my heart to miss this challenge I will have to be on

(SICK LEAVE)

I would like to comment on my love and gratitude to all members of the American and our Allie military because of health issues I will be unable to complete this "fortnight" challenge.
You are brave, just and courageous in my families eyes and we thank you so much for giving your service.
I have a father that was in WWII Navy and a stepfather in WWII Air Force, a husband and brother-in-law (husband's twin) that served in the Army and brother in the Air Force all in VietNam and friends and other loved ones in the Marines and various wars.  Each of you deserve all the wholehearted gratitude for giving part or all of your life to preserve the freedom given our countries.

Lee Greenwood sang it best

Be Independent

Challenge #66
Be Independent
I chose to use "ike_Libby" artwork.

I thought it would be fun to create a "box card".  I had many embellishments to include and used flags on toothpicks, whirlygigs on toothpicks, and fireworks.  I added glitter and a beautiful American eagle that I also added glitter and layers to.  The Statue of Liberty was an artwork by Ike and was fun to color.  It's amazing to find so many pictures of her with so many different colors.  I used an image that Alyce from "Kit and Clowder" shared with me.  It used mainly blues and I used the following Copics:
B00, B10, W5
Although the palette was limited I think she turned out pretty.  I hope you like her too.
Please be sure to leave a kind comment so I know you visited.
