My Grandson"s 21

We are not a drinking family but I think everyone waits for their 21st birthday so they can legally order a drink.  We took him and his significant other for his first and onlybeer of the night.  Here is the card I mad to celebrate him.

Valentine 2014

Valentine's 2014
I often make cards ahead of time.  I hope none of these are double posts but please excuse any that are.

This is the kewlest paper.  It has red vinyl accents on it.  I added the "candies" from cut outs I created on my Silhouette.  It may not look the prettiest but was fun to make.

It's a bit difficult to see the aqua glitter tree I added but playing reindeer stand out.  They were buttons I got from Walmart and cut the backs off.  I added rhinestones to the aqua tree but if you look close you'll see it.  I took the easy way out and added a green ribbon that says, "Happy Holidays".

This beautiful cardinal paper just cried out for the cardinal cut out.

My brother past away last month and this was the last Christmas Card I sent him.

Christmas 2013

Sorry I haven't posted in so long but I lost my photo card.  Looking through my files I seem to have found most of the cards I made for Christmas 2013 and so begins the posting.

It was a definite winter wonderland for those even south of the Mason-Dixon.

A Halloween Birthday
The Black Hat Society

Notice the feathers on the hat?

This card has a story.  My sister's mother-in-law is a Red Hat Lady and talks about it all the time.  I figured my sister would love an invitation to the "Black Hat Society" for her birthday.  On the inside it states the "induction" will be held @ Posie Chapel.  This is a haunted church from our youngin days.  I'm sure she'll get a laugh.
Happy Birthday Sister/Friend
I Love You

Toxic Treats

If you can't tell this card is 3d with a transparent insert for the shop window.  The minute I saw this store front in the Silhouette store(shown in red) I knew what it was going to be.  I think it makes an awesome card and I hope you do too.

Sorry about the blur on the inside but regardless of the # of pictures taken and the amount of work ion PsP this was the best I could get so I decided to add it to the site anyway.

Witches Dance

This was a fun card to make...I had so many things I wanted to put on the front so, expect to see this style again.

The Raven

I've been wanting to do a Poe card forever.  This was the year.  I hope you like it.  Please don't forget to leave me comments?  I'd love to know what you think of my cards so I know if I should keep posting or am just wasting time.  Thank you.

Trick or Treat

Who remembers this from back when?  I think my grandkids will get a laugh.  I have to mention the background paper I used for this card and the "Boo Crew" card.  It's called "Trick or Treat" by the Paper Studio.  It has some wonderful papers and I can't wait to use more of it next year.

No Invitation - No Entry

This was such fun card that came from my warped mind.  The doors have 3d panels and the "witches" were colored with copic markers.  The inside reads ..."Oopps, no RSVP no entry" .  See the "splat witch" wasn't invited to the Witches Ball so she got the door slammed in her face..LoL

The Boo Crew

This card was a little different for me and I learned a lot from it.  It is a silhouette cut but wasn't originally intended as a Halloween card.  I think it came out cute and I hope you do too.

Spooky Tree

If you look close you can see the 1/4 moon.

For My Daughter the Vampire Lover

If you can't read the little book it says, "Vampire Forensics'"

I Love the Wind

 C. Thomas

I love the wind
The way it's fingers lift my hair
The way it kisses and caresses my face
The way it takes away my worries and cares
The clouds move by on days that are fair
********************************************
It moves through the wild expanse
It lifts the feathers and floats the fowl
Sometimes I have to fight to keep my stance
It whips through the limbs as it shreks and howls
********************************************
The song it sings blowing through the trees
The way it blows and dances the leaves
It drives the rain hiding my tears
Moving softly and taking with it my fears.
********************************************
I love the wind
It sings a song and whispers my name
The world bends and moves changing things
So they're never going to be the same
Often you have to strain to hear it sing.
********************************************
It blows in great drifts
Some people think it's a wild foe
It drives the snow making it lift
It stings my nose and freezes toes.
********************************************
But I love the Wind

4th of July

These are cards I created for the 4th of July.  I hope they give you some ideas.

******************************************************************

This was an awesomely fun card.  I hunted down the polk-a-dot paper and found it at my local Michael's® store.  The "flowers" started out as white cardstock.  Each flower consisted of 5 pieces.  I used my copic's® markers (Prussian Blue and Lipstick Red) to color the various parts of the Silhouette® cut-outs.  The fence was a cut out, the "sun" was a punch and I created the grass using multi-bladed scissors I got from Oriental Trading®.  The sweet patriotic 3d butterfly was a gift from my beautiful daughter.  I plan to use the rest of them next year.

******************************************************************

This sweet card has clouds and a 2 piece sun with a button center on foam adhesive to add depth.  The fence has a patriotic banner with pearl button centers and I added the white border with my favorite Uni Ball® white pen (I consider this the very best white pen).

******************************************************************

This is my own creation of a "From our House" card.  Navy and white stripes give the illusion of house siding.  The red door has "raised panels" a copper colored handle back ground and a small red brad from Joann's® for the knob.  I used my silhouette to create a one sided 3d star.

******************************************************************

I recently went back to aqua therapy after not taking it for 12 years.  (YES, I do hurt)  So while talking to my therapist it came out that I am a cardmaker.  She requested to "be put on my card list".  This card seemed appropriate.  I had the swimsuits ready and was trying to figure out what the heck I was going to add to tie it into my therapy.  I went to my favorite source...Silhouette®!  They had just added the wave and I knew what I was going to create.  I started with a lemon yellow card and sponged on desert sand© ink on the bottom (doesn't it look just like sand?) and marine blue© ink in the sky.  Both inks are Memento® products.  I added the navy blue picot ribbon on the side and as an after thought I made the little USA directional sign.  I love it and hope she and you do also.

******************************************************************

This card wasn't sent out and will be put back for next year but I thought I'd add it here.  I used white cardstock for the card.  The background paper I purchased 14 years ago at a scrapbooking expo.  I punched the small red swirls and the corners of the background.  The rocket is a Silhouette® shape and I added red stickles to the rocket and swirls and blue stickles® to the rocket for bling.  I really like the way it turned out.

******************************************************************
Those are my offerings for this year!
